I have been a Muscular Therapist for over 23 years. There are many factors that played into my becoming a Massage Therapist. A few of the reasons why I decided to become a Massage therapist include flexible scheduling, my desire to start a business that supported my values and wanting to enjoy the work that I do every day.

When I began my business, I was a single parent of two small children at the time. I was working a 9-5 at Harvard University Health Services, and I didn’t feel a corporate setting was the place for me. I quickly came to the understanding, that I did not enjoy working under a boss and this is what led me to the decision to go back to school and become a Muscular Therapist. I discovered how important it is for me to love and enjoy the work that I do.

This was a big change for me in my career and created some real changes. It felt like for the first time I was deciding to put myself and my children first. Along with this change, I evolved, I found other things that were important to me. I began to be purposeful in the development of my business, and as time went on, I understood and became aware of what I valued. One thing I wanted to do was to make a difference in the world. Whether it be for one person or many, my desire was to make a difference. With the work I now do, I am often reminded that I am doing what I was gifted to do, and that is to make a difference to everyone that steps through my doors.

I have come to know so many people from all over the world, and I have been a blessing to them over the years. The different aspects of people's lives have shown me, through diversity comes knowledge and with knowledge it is important not to look at everyone’s pain and or the symptoms in the same way. Everyone is an individual. There are varied aspects to everyone’s life. This is how I should make my approach when treating someone. This is why I have continued to learn and take trainings so that I can help treat each client as the individual you are. Being able to use the techniques they need to improve mobility, heal, and strengthen their muscles and body.

Massage is my ministry and some say “a calling”. I am willing to listen to what it is you have to say. Allow me to become a blessing to you. Come in to find out for yourself and/or schedule your next visit today.

I look forward to meeting you!

Blessings,
